C•VIBIVS•C F•C•N IOV[IS•AXVR] Jupiter Axurus seated left, holding patera in his right hand and long scepter with his left. Babelon (Vibia) 18. Crawford 449/1a. RBW 1571. Sydenham 947. Minor marks and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of Daniel T. Spencer, Esq., from the Red Ox Collection, Leu Web Auction 18, 19 December 2021, 2512, and the collection of the Czech musician Adolf Picek (circa 1885-1978), and formerly in the possession of an Italian banker, whose life was saved by Mr. Picek in the Battles of the Piave River on the Italian Front in 1917-1918 and who presented his savior with 'four socks of old coins' in reward.
